Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress best known for her parts in the film Hum Aapke Koun. She began her career in the late 1980s, and rose into prominence thanks to her character in Tezaab, a film where she starred alongside an established actor Anil Kapoor. The next film she appeared in was Dil where she starred alongside Aamir. The daughter of a middle class family in Mumbai she started learning dancing at a young age. When she was young, she started acting but struggled as many films she made were not successful. Eventually, she found success in Indian filmmaking and rose to the top. After her marriage, she took a hiatus in her career. The actress returned in later years. Recently, she was one of the main characters in Gulaab Gang about Indian women. Dixit was nominated fifteen times for Filmfare Awards. She won 8 of the awards. She was also honored with the Padma Shri the fourth highest civilian award in India. She is known for her social works as well.
